Transforming Auckland BusinessOver the last three years, leaders across multiple sectors and ethnicities within the church in Auckland under the network name Vision for Auckland have been meeting to understand God's conversation with the city. And the conversation within the city. And how these two mesh into city transformation. One sector is that of business leadership. How does the kingdom of God relate to the realities of ethical management, personnel needs, stresses of production and creativity? What are the stories of those through whom God has been conversing to the business structures of the city, and what do those stories tell us he is saying? A transformational conversation consultation is the opportunity for 12-20 business people to sit around, tell their stories of God in business, and try to figure out what theology and strategy for ongoing advance of the Kingdom of God these predict. This is then collated and published in similar manner to the Transforming Auckland Business booklet. Each transformational conversation may run from Friday 4 p.m. -Sat lunch, all day Saturday or Saturday 3 p.m. - Sunday 3 p.m. and is hosted by a group of local churches. One of the pastors are allowed to sit in to learn theology from business people(?!) and to aid in reflection. Ethics in Business: the weekly turmoil of business life doesn't always result in right decision-making. Open talk, stories of the struggles to find a Christian way of doing business.
